Beacon

Beacon is Ashmere Software's open-source monitoring and status platform. It watches the health and availability of the services a team depends on — HTTP endpoints, APIs, and servers — and is built to be lightweight enough to run alongside anything, from a single side project to a small fleet of infrastructure.

Beacon is released under an open-source licence so any team can self-host it rather than depend on a third-party status page. Its architecture leaves room for agent-based host information as the project grows, without requiring it for the core monitoring workflow.

As Ashmere's only fully open-source project today, Beacon is also where the wider community can read the code, open issues, and contribute directly.
